Displayed at this booth is a prototype of SUSHI TELEPORTATION, created by a team dedicated to realizing “culinary teleportation”. Using data on taste, nutrition, color, etc., a robot arm food printer recreates the exact same sushi served in Tokyo. (Sorry, no sampling this time!) Our goal is to be able to instantaneously share food using data collected from every dish around the world. We hope this gives you a little taste of our vision!

Lunavity is a system designed to augment one of our natural physical abilities: the power to jump. An attachable multi-rotor elevates the user during the movement, enabling them to leap higher and further. In the future, where drones are widely used for delivery and/or transportation, such systems can be applied to temporarily augment our mobility.

tvx is a system designed to augment TV content, changing it to an“experience” rather than something that is just viewed. By adding control signals inaudible to the human ear, shows can link up to various household devices, enabling things like plush toys sharing show reactions to room lights changing in conjunction with a musical performance. The system opens up infinite possibilities for TV shows.

Lingering Voices is an app that upon recognizing speech, can visualize and fix words to the location it originated. It’s an entertainment/communication tool that allows users to take pictures, to search, to replay and share each other’s “lingering voices” around the world. Wouldn’t you like to see the size and color of your own words?
